Police Checks
For the enhanced safety of all Bow View members, Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Trainers & On Ice Assistants must have a valid Police Check on file with Bow View, no later than November 1 of the current season. Police Checks are valid for 3 seasons including the season they were obtained.
Step 1- City of Calgary residents can request a Police Check voucher from admin@bowviewringette.com to waive the fee (non-residents can visit their local RCMP detachment)
Step 2- complete a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Section Check (PIC w/VS) via the email received from CPS using the Police Check voucher instructions
Step 3- download and email complete Police Check to admin@bowviewringette.com (Police Checks are only available for download for 60 days after 60 days, the process must be started over)
Please Note:
Police Checks from other organizations (sport, school or other) can be emailed to admin@bowviewringette.com (provided it is acceptable, the police check will be valid for 3 seasons from the date it was obtained with the other organization)
Police Checks without a Vulnerable Sector Check will not be accepted
Hard copy Police Checks received by mail or from the RCMP must be scanned and emailed to admin@bowviewringette.com
Managers & Junior Coaches do not require Police Checks
Bow View does not reimburse Police Check fees if you do not request a Police Check voucher
Police Checks are returned quicker in the spring/summer months
