Please do NOT click this button even if you selected a registration package that is "full payment". Clicking this button will charge you on the day of registration for the 2 items we post date to 2025 (volunteer bond and jersey bond). Families wishing to opt out of the Volunteer Bond can add ONE Opt Out Volunteer Package to ONE player’s registration. The $400 fee will be charged on the day of registration. The post dated charges for the Volunteer Bond for each of the families’ players will be canceled. Age divisions are used to group players based on birth year. While we do not have sequential skill markers players need to complete or pass before moving on, we do have tiers within age divisions, to group players of similar skills.
Evaluations allow us to determine where a player is at a certain point in time. In U10, Step 1 is the most beginner skills, Step 3 is the most skilled. U12-U19 has A,B,C tiers. A being the most skilled.
U10-U14 evaluations include one skills ice time which evaluates players on timed skating drills. Players who are new to skating will participate as Ringette Alberta, our provincial sport organization requires times from as many skaters as possible. Skills skate ice times will be followed by game play ice time(s). Skills skate times will be used to group similar skating skilled players for game play. In some cases, those who are first time skaters may not be grouped for a game play. Other players may play in 2-3 game plays to determine their best fit. Once all game plays are complete, teams are drafted by coaches, the objective being to draft as balanced teams as possible within a step or tier.
Active Start evaluations are one ice time with very basic skating drills to determine the spectrum of skaters.
U16 & U19 participate in 1-3 game plays.

When you receive your first email from the age division coordinator please reply and let them know if your player will not be available on a certain date. The age division coordinator will advise how your player will be placed for the evaluations if that date impacts their evaluations.
