Arenas (hardwired shot clocks, small nets & ice dividers)

At many arenas the shot clock remotes are kept in the maintenance office and you will need to ask for them and often you will need to leave your vehicle keys (so you don’t forget to return the remote).

Great Plains, Acadia & Jack Setters Shot Clock code for the box for the remote will be distributed to Managers & Head Coaches.

Seton YMCA Arena A shot clocks- Reset 2 is preset with 30 seconds- this is the button you will use. The horn has to be turned on using the “Settings” button otherwise you will not be able to hear the horn sound when the clock runs out.

Flames Community- the arena has its own portable shot clock- find arena staff and ask them to put it up- please allow enough time before game starts.

Portable Shot Clock Guidelines

The Home team is responsible for ensuring the arena either has a hardwired shot clock or picks up the assigned portable shot clock.

Portable shot clocks must be picked up and returned the SAME DAY!

If your rescheduled game does not appear on the Shot Clock Schedule please contact the Shot Clock Coordinator.

If you notice a difference between the Shot Clock Schedule and the Chinook League schedule please advise the Shot Clock Coordinator.

Exhibition Games- please contact the Shot Clock Coordinator to ensure your game is scheduled for a portable Shot Clock if necessary.

  • Trico

  • Acadia (ARC)

  • Great Plains (GP has hardwired clocks as well as portable shot clocks for transport to other arenas)

Portable shot clocks have spare batteries in their bags. If you change a battery and the old one is in fact dead please dispose of it- do not leave dead batteries in the bag. Codes for portable shot clocks will be distributed to Managers and Head Coaches.

Coaches that would like to carry spare shot clock batteries in their coach bags please note there are 2 types of batteries. The old clocks take a 9V battery and the newer clocks take a 23A 12V battery.
